Tijdens onze reis begin dit jaar hebben we de kinderen van Udhaya Unit 2 mogen ontmoeten. @Gé Mol van Double Dutch Resort attendeerde ons op leerzame boekjes van TruBuddy, die allemaal belangrijke onderwerpen toelichten.
Het team van Udhaya Unit 2 heeft er toen een aantal aangeschaft en nu een meeting georganiseerd voor de kinderen met als onderwerp: ‘loopbaanbegeleiding en -advies’. In het stukje hieronder vertelt Josephine van Udhaya Unit 2 zelf over het belang hiervan.
“The theme of our meeting was “Career Guidance and Counseling.”
In Tamil Nadu, the 10th and 12th grades are very important stages in a student’s education. After the 10th grade, students choose their academic group based on their interests and future goals. After the 12th grade, they make decisions regarding their higher studies and career paths. Therefore, it is essential to guide them in choosing the right subjects and courses to ensure a successful future.
During the meeting, we provided orientation and guidance to our students regarding these important decisions. Most of our students come from families where parents are unable to provide educational or career guidance because these children are the first generation in their families to pursue higher education. Many of them have the potential to succeed and even attend university. However, poverty and difficult family circumstances often become obstacles to their progress.
We also used the three books you recommended, which we have available here. These books helped us introduce the students to effective study methods, memory techniques, and personal reflection. We will continue to gradually share the valuable information from these resources with all our children.
